There is still time to register for the Wednesday, May 29 UW-BSC bus trip to historic Mineral Point, Wisconsin. The day will start with a tour of the Pendarvis historic site, where costumed guides will demonstrate how miners lived in the early 19th century. Participants will then visit Shake Rag Alley, an area containing an outdoor summer theatre, a community-owned center for the arts, and many art studios. Lunch will be at the Red Rooster Café, a favorite spot in the heart of the downtown serving traditional Cornish fare including pasty and figgy hobbin. After lunch there will be plenty of time to explore the numerous shops, antique stores, boutiques, and art galleries that call Mineral Point home.
The bus will depart Reedsburg at 7:30 a.m. and Baraboo at 8 a.m., and will return to Baraboo at approximately 5:30 p.m. The fee is $59.
