UW-Baraboo/Sauk County Offering Non-Credit Classes this Spring


Improve your business and computing skills with a variety of non-credit courses being offered at the UW-Baraboo/Sauk County this spring.

Developing the Work Culture You Need to Thrive will be held on Friday, March 8 from 9-11:00am. Jack Harkins, Founder of the Harkins Leadership Development Corporation, will discuss strategies to create the desired culture within an organization. Cost is $79.

The Effective Supervisor: Keys to Great Leadership will be held from 8:30-11am on Tuesday, March 19. Jack Harkins will give participants the most up-to-date tools to manage the ever-changing challenges of today's workplace. Fee is $89.

Social Media 101 will take place on Friday, March 15 from 8:30-11am. Don Stanley, UW-Madison Instructor and owner of 3Rhino Media, will explore the most popular social networks including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Fee is $89.

Create Your Own Blog will be held on Wednesday, April 10 from 6-9pm. Instructor Terri Nee-Holtz, who will teach all of the following courses, will walk students through the process of setting up a blog. Fee is $39.

Emailing Tips and Shortcuts will take place on Friday, February 15 from 9am-noon. Learn the basics of successful emailing and troubleshoot email snags. Cost is $39.
Use Your Computer Efficiently and Effectively will be held on Friday, February 22 from 9am-noon. Learn computing shortcuts and effective file management techniques. Fee is $39.

Integrating Microsoft Office Applications will take place on Friday, March 1 from 9am-noon. Learn the most effective uses of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word applications. Cost is $39.

Basic Excel will be held on Friday, March 8 from 9am-noon. Explore the ins and outs of Microsoft Excel, a powerful application that can make any math equation less complicated. Participants will learn how to make charts and manage data by sorting and filtering. Fee is $39.

Intermediate Excel will take place on Friday, March 15 from 9am-noon. Learn how to use the function library and create formulas, import data from other files, and protect unwanted editing. Cost is $39.
