I am delighted to welcome you to the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County! We are your University of Wisconsin campus, dedicated to bringing the resources of a premier state university system to our student-centered community. Whether you are a graduating senior or a returning adult student, you will find UW-Baraboo/Sauk County to be the best start for the life you want.
Our Associate of Arts and Science (AAS) degree serves as the foundation for effective career preparation and the gateway to hundreds of college majors, while our Guaranteed Transfer Program assures a seamless transfer to any campus in the UW System.
Our Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS) degree completion program is designed specifically for adults with family and work responsibilities. It allows students to earn their bachelor’s degree right here at the UW-BSC campus, taking courses both from our professors and in collaboration with partner campuses including UW-La Crosse, UW-Superior, and UW-Stout. The BAAS focuses on skills that employers look for in successful employees, including communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.
In addition, our collaborative degree programs provide further options and flexibility in the paths to earning your degree.
UW-BSC’s liberal arts focus means you will be challenged daily to think broadly and critically from multiple perspectives. Our faculty are highly credentialed and professionally active in their respective fields, dedicated both to instruction and student life. Our class sizes are small – typically 22 students or less.
These assets provide our students with the experience more typically gained from a small private college. But our tuition, the lowest in the UW System, makes this premier educational experience highly accessible.
UW-BSC also serves as a center for the arts and culture, with more than 3,000 community members visiting campus each year to take part in our continuing education and arts programming.
I invite you to tour our campus and meet our faculty and staff. Browse our website or visit our Facebook page. I am confident you will be delighted by what you find: a beautiful, vibrant campus dedicated to delivering a high-quality education, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning to the residents or our community.
