Q: Where can I get a card so I can participate in the Wiscard program?
A: Your University Baraboo/Sauk County photo ID card is your Wiscard.

Q: Who can participate in the Wiscard program?
A: Any student, faculty, staff, or affiliate with a valid University Baraboo/Suak County ID card.

Q: How do I join Wiscard?
A: Register online, make a minimum $10 deposit into a Campus Cash account and you're set to go.

Q: How much money should I deposit in my Campus Cash account?
A: You can deposit as little as $10. However, if you plan to purchase textbooks and school supplies we recommend an initial deposit of $300-$500.

Q: What if I lose my UW ID card?
A: Immediately use this website to deactivate your card. You can also alert the Business Office in the Aural Umhoeffer Building room A115 or call 608-355-5210. There is a $15 replacement fee.

Q: What if I use up all the money in my account?
A: Additional deposits can be made at any time.

Q: How do I make a deposit into a Cafeteria Meal Plan account online?
A: Due to the requirements of the Cafeteria Meal Plan, please make payments in the Business Office (A115).

Q: How can I be sure the deposit I made on the web was successful?
A: You should receive an immediate confirmation from the web site indicating your transaction was successful. A receipt will also be forwarded to the e-mail address you provided confirming your deposit was successful within a few minutes of completing the transaction. If you are a registered account holder you can also check your recent account balance or transaction history on-line.

Q: Can I transfer money from one Wiscard account to another?
A: Yes, transfers can be made from the Campus Cash account to the Cafeteria Meal Plan.

Q: I just got a new ID and now I'm having trouble accessing my account via the web.
A: If you recently obtained a new ID card and switched from a social security based card number to a 90x based number, log in with your old card number first. You will then be prompted to log in with your new card number.

Q: Can I withdraw money from my account?
A: Partial withdrawals cannot be made from any Wiscard account. Please see the section on closing accounts below.

Q: How do I close an account?
A: A refund for the Campus Cash and Cafeteria Meal Plan can be requested at the Business Office. The account must be closed in its entirety. The account closing is subject to a $10 administrative fee. Refunds will not be issued unless the account balance is greater than $2 after the administrative fee has been deducted. A refund check will be mailed to the cardholder within three weeks.

Q: What happens to the balance in each of my accounts at the end of the school year?
A:

  • Campus Cash account this account automatically carries forward from semester to semester. The Wiscard program reserves the right to close an account that has been inactive for 12 months.
  • Cafeteria Meal Plan the remaining balance is automatically transferred to your Campus Cash account.


 

Wiscard partners include UW Baraboo/Sauk County, The Wisconsin Union, University Housing, DoIT, University Book Store, Facilities Planning and Management, Associated Students of Madison, L&S Copy Centers, Underground Textbook Exchange, and the General Library System.
