UW-Baraboo/Sauk County is now enrolling students for upcoming Zumba Gold and Zumba Toning fitness programs.
A new offering at UW-BSC, Zumba Gold classes will be held on Wednesdays from 10:15 – 11 a.m. starting July 31 for four weeks. Zumba Gold uses the same dance moves as the original Zumba classes, but is geared toward those who prefer a more moderate pace. Movement is less intense, and there are longer warm-up and cool-down periods. Fee is $28.
There will also be two sessions of Zumba Toning, a calorie-burning, strength training class. Participants will learn how to use light hand weights (provided) to enhance rhythm, build strength and tone target zones. This class is appropriate for teens to seniors, and no previous dance or Zumba experience is required. Session One will meet Tuesdays from 4:30 - 5:15 p.m. for five weeks beginning July 23. Fee is $35. Session Two will meet from 8:30 - 9:15 a.m. for four weeks beginning August 1. Fee is $28.
All Zumba classes take place in the dance studio of the UW-BSC Lange Center. To register online, click the "Continuing Education" link at baraboo.uwc.edu, or call Cindy or Angie at 608-355-5220.
