UW-BSC Announces Fall 2013 Free Lecture Series

UW-Baraboo/Sauk County invites the community to attend the Fall 2013 Free Lecture Series. The series theme is “Making an Impact,”  and lectures include the following:

Thursday, Sept. 26, 12:13 p.m.: “Creating the WormFarm Institute"
Jay Salinas and Donna Neuwirth will share their work in creating a sustainable future for agriculture and the arts. Their belief is that generating, supporting, and promoting the vital links between our creative selves, our work, and our place on earth is essential for a thriving community.

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 12:30 p.m.: “Proud Theater”
Executive Director Brian Wild will discuss the group that was formed to change the world through the power of theatre and the theater arts, and to make a positive difference in the lives of LGBTQ and allied youth through the tenets of art, heart, and activism.

Tuesday, Nov. 26, 4:30 p.m.: “Greener Business Practices in a Global Economy”
UW-BSC alum and Con Amici Wine Bar owner Laura Hamdan-Krause will discuss how businesses can operate successfully while leaving a smaller environmental footprint. After the lecture, there will be a FREE alumni and friends reception at Con Amici Wine Bar! Light appetizers will be provided for those who register in advance, at baraboo.uwc.edu/alumni
