UW-Baraboo/Sauk County's Continuing Education Office invites area adults ages 55 and older to attend the 2013 "Add Learning to your Life" conference on Thursday, March 21.
The day will start with refreshments and a presentation from keynote speaker Mike Lew, a Consultant with Real World Solutions and retired department manager for the State of Wisconsin. Lew will teach seniors how to volunteer their gifts, skills, and passions in meaningful ways that will help build a stronger, more revitalized community.
Participants will then take part in two of fourteen break-out sessions, with a wide range of topics including archaeology, art, elder law, health, information technology, local history, and religion. Door prizes and a UW-BSC music and dramatic arts showcase will be featured during lunch, followed by an optional campus tour.
For more information on the conference or to register, contact CE Director Cindy McVenes at (608) 355-5220 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration is $25 per person or $40 if registering with a friend, and includes lunch. Registrations are due by Friday, March 8.
