Library Laptop Checkout Rules

  • All files created on laptop are your responsibility to remove to either your own storage device or campus sky drive prior to the due date.
  • The checkout period for laptops is seven (7) days. No renewals are allowed.
  • Overdue fees are $1.00 per day.  If the laptop is not returned within one (1) day of the due date, it will be considered stolen and appropriate action will be taken.
  • Problems with, damage to, loss or theft of the hardware loaned to you must be reported to library staff immediately.
  • Please do not leave laptops unattended. You are solely responsible for the laptop while it is checked out to you, and you will be accountable for any overdue fines, damage, loss, or theft.
  • You will be billed for any repair or replacement costs if the laptop or components are damaged, lost, or stolen.
  • Checking a laptop out for use by another student or individual is not allowed.
