Description

"The War Against Grammar"

David Mulroy's lecture, "The War Against Grammar" disagrees with the notion that the teaching of traditional grammar is a waste of classroom time.

According to Mulroy, both history and common sense make clear that students benefit from diagramming and learning their parts of speech - both during their school years and beyond.

Prof. David Mulroy holds a BA from Georgetown and a PhD in Classics from Stanford. He is now a professor of Classics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he has taught since 1973.
