Guaranteed Transfer Program
The University of Wisconsin Colleges Guaranteed Transfer Program enables students to begin their education as a freshman at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County or any other freshman/sophomore UW Colleges campus and be guaranteed admission to a UW System campus as a junior.
After fulfilling credit and grade point average requirements students will transfer with the same rights and privileges as those who begin their education at the baccalaureate institution.
To be eligible to participate students must:
- Begin their education as a new freshman at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County or another UW College freshman/sophomore campus.
- Submit a "Declaration of Intent" form to participate in the Guaranteed Transfer Program prior to earning 30 credits. Forms may be obtained from the Office of Student Services.
- Complete, within three years, the number of credits required for junior status at the baccalaureate campus to which the student intends to transfer (generally 54 to 60 credits depending upon the institution)
- Maintain a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average (2.8 for UW Madison) and a 2.0 in the term prior to transfer.
Note : UW-Baraboo/Sauk County students participating in the Guaranteed Transfer Program must meet the same criteria (e.g. grade point, course requirements, etc.) for admission to specific majors/programs as continuing students. The guarantee of admission applies only to the institution and not to the specific program or major.
Students will be allowed to participate in the Guaranteed Transfer Program with only one receiving institution.
